New Zurenborg area is located in Antwerp, Brussels. It is needed to have 200 housing units and also the half of the area as a park.
RING ROAD
Known locally as the "Ring", offers motorway connections to Brussels, Hasselt and Liège, Ghent, Lille, Bruges, Breda and Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands). Also It’s in the middle of the europe’s one of the most importatnt axle; Amsterdam - Paris connection.
Whole city is surrounded with this ring road.
It is a very important transportation element for both national and international use.
It has huge green areas which are blocking the highway noise from the city, but these green areas is not used as parks.
Also there are several connections between east and the west of the city over the ring road. These bridges are connecting the outer city to city centre.
RAILWAY TRANSPORTATON
The Railway of Antwerp is the focus of lines to the north to Essen and the Netherlands, east to Turnhout and Roermond, south to Mechelen and Brussels and southwest to Ghent and Ostend. It is served by international trains to Amsterdam and Paris and national trains to Ghent, Bruges, Ostend, Brussels, Charleroi, Hasselt, Liège and Turnhout.
ZURENBORG AREA
This is the only area that contains an international connection, a bridge that connects east side to city centre and a national - international railway connection. This easy accesibility of the area makes it a very special point on the ring road.
